Thank you, Linda Day : A special congratulations to this long-term Peasedown volunteer
Two councillors from Peasedown want to personally thank a stalwart of the local community who is after standing down after more than two decades as Chair of Governors at Peasedown St John Primary School.
The two independent councillors have send Nub News a special letter which we are more than happy to publicise:
They write:
Linda Day has recently stepped down after a remarkable 21 years in the post. Her input, guidance and enthusiasm for education has been very much appreciated and valued by staff and parents alike over the decades.
It is very rare to find people who will give up their time voluntarily, let alone to do so over as many years as Linda has.
Back in 2018, Linda was named at the winner of the village's prestigious Sara Holley Community Award, which is presented to a resident each year who has gone 'above and beyond' to serve the community. Linda was recognised for her near 50 years of volunteering in the village, including at Peasedown St John Methodist Church.
Thank you, Linda, for your wisdom and commitment to the school over so many years.
Yours faithfully,
Cllr Karen Walker and Cllr Sarah BevanIndependents, Peasedown St John
