Planners have said yes to plans for six homes on a plot of land almost opposite the small shopping centre on the Fosseway in Westfield.

As Nub News reported previously the application was for a smaller number of homes than previously applied for.

Westfield council had objected to the plans, so the decision was referred to the Chair and Vice Chair of the Planning Committee.

Both then confirmed that the application could be delegated to officers, which is why the decision, which had been expected in the middle of January was delayed until today (February 26).

Details of the planning application, including design and parking allocations, can be seen under the decision notice on the B&NES planning portal under reference 23/04286/FUL

The current plans are for one two bedroomed house, three three bedroomed homes and two four bedroomed homes, along with the development of Aviemore, which the transport department previously reported would need a total of 13.5 car parking spaces.
