Tickets are now available for three Christmas social events in Midsomer Norton, all of which are free to attend.

The 2019 Midsomer Norton Free Senior Citizens Christmas Party will be held on Friday December 13.

Now in its ninth year, Midsomer Norton residents enjoy an afternoon of music and food. This year the event will take place at Welton Rovers Football Club from 2pm to 6pm - the time has changed from evening to afternoon to enable more locals to attend the event.

Tickets for the event are available no on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of two tickets to be reserved by any individual. Furthermore, as this event is now in the afternoon, no transport will be provided.

So, if you are over 60, live in Midsomer Norton and would like to dance and sing-along to the sounds of The Sneakers, a popular band playing 50s, 60s and 70s music, contact the office at the details given below.

This year will be the first year that Midsomer Norton Town Council will be hosting a Children's

Christmas Party and Cinema Night for the youngsters of Midsomer Norton.

The free Children's Christmas Party, for children aged between five and 11 years, will be held on Sunday December 8 at the Somer Centre.

The party will start at 3pm and finish at 5pm. Parents' support will be required.

There will be food and drink for the children, and entertainment provided by DJ Glynn.

The council is also holding a free Cinema Evening for the older children aged between 12

and 16 years.

This will take place in Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Thursday December 12. Doors open at 6pm with the film starting at 6.30pm.

The film is yet to be decided so keep checking the website via the red button below. There will also be snacks and a drink for the older children.

Tickets are required for both of the events and are free. They will be available now on a first come, first served basis.
