A date has been set for a meeting to fight Curo plans for homes at Underhill Lane.

Cllr Shaun Hughes who has called the meeting about the development - Planning Application - 22/02932/FUL apologised that it on the special day for dads.

He posted : " Unfortunately this is the only date the Hall is available at short notice so hopefully everyone can make it. (sorry I know it's Father's Day).

Despite a huge amount of objections, numerous issues with the application and a judicial review instructing Mendip Council to remove this site from their local plan Curo still want to try and push this planning application through. Meeting to discuss the current status of the planning applications and any actions residents may wish to take to object. "

There is still time to object to these plans, a so-called 'border' application with B&NES consultation closing June 22 and Mendip's (as was) on June 29.

According to the Cllr B&NES have agreed to review objections after this date by emailing [email protected]

There are 40 new and amended documents to view on the application. You can find them here https://publicaccess.mendip.gov.uk/.../applicationDetails...

The councillor added : " One of the main changes since this was last reviewed is that Mendip (now Somerset) Council were instructed by a judge to remove this site from their local plan during a judicial review. "
