A man who died following an assault in Radstock has been named as Philip Jones.

Philip, aged 50, was found at a property in Huish Court following reports of an assault at around 2.30am on Saturday (June 16).  

A murder enquiry was launched and six people have since been arrested.

Four people – three men and one woman - have been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing. Two others remain in custody.

A scene is still in place at the address while forensic investigators carry out their work.

Philip's family are shocked and saddened by their sudden loss. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time so that they can grieve and come to terms with the loss of Philip.
