Hi, I'm Anne Priest, and alongside Richard Stelling I'm standing to become your Labour Councillor for Midsomer Norton, Redfield.

The past 13 years have been a struggle for us all under Conservative austerity measures. As a community, we deserve better.  Many of us feel neglected by the current Liberal Democrat council, with consultations that leave us out of the conversation and full of empty promises. We want a future filled with opportunity, security, and a deep sense of community.

Currently most public money appears to be funnelled into Bath by the majority Lib-Dems. We would like to change that and make your money work for you.

The people of Midsomer Norton deserve a local government which really cares about the town, and the people who live there. They deserve a Council that will fight to make their lives easier and better. Richard and I want to work tirelessly to make Midsomer Norton the best place to live in BANES, for the very young to the very old and everyone in between with:

Ethical, accountable, fiscally responsible local government

Roads fit for purpose!

Better child-care facilities for working parents,

Lower business rates & investment so the high street may flourish again and help for businesses to grow via collaboration with Dan Norris' West of England Growth Hub.

Work with the Crime Commissioner to crack down on antisocial behaviour

Improve health services by working en masse to lobby Westminster to take action re. GP services & dentists

DO IT GREENER: Better air quality via BETTER PUBLIC TRANSPORT; more EV charging points; community skips; increase recycling rates

Etc. See our entire manifesto at baneslabour.uk

Let's send a clear message and vote for real change; vote LABOUR.  Please tick Anne Priest & Richard Stelling on your ballot on May 4th.
