Cheaper than the Royal Mail and delivered with a smile.

All scout groups in Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton and Peasedown will be delivering your Christmas Cards by hand in their local villages for the bargain price of 40p per card. All proceeds from the sale of stamps will go to help Scout Groups in the local area. That compares to the current price of 61 pence for second class stamp by the usual post office, and for this kind of first class service it would be 70p. So the local scouts are a bargain.

Stamps are on sale and post boxes placed (with many thanks to local independent businesses) in the Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton and Peasedown St John areas. Last collection is on December 14 at noon and all (correctly addressed) cards will be delivered by hand by Christmas Eve.

The service first began back in 1983 with the 1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group. The Group undertook to deliver cards in the town and close neighbouring villages at a cost of 10p per card and in that first year 1,500 cards were delivered. There have been may designs of stamp over the years all designed by Group members while the number of cards delivered peaked to over 10,000 for many years. Increased costs has seen the price of stamps rise to 40p and since 2016 Radstock, Peasedown St John and Paulton Scout Groups have joined the service with a hope to delivering all the local Christmas Cards.
