Westfield nursery Sunflowers is praised, again, by Ofsted

Sunflowers Nursery on Cobblers Way in Westfield has just had its Ofsted report published and it is rated Good in all areas.

That's from being good with the quality of education, and behaviour expected of the children who attend, right through to the management team.

Inspectors praised the welcoming nature of the nursery, saying children receive a warm greeting when they arrive at this nurturing and inclusive nursery. Adding : "Staff get to know children well before they start by providing as many settling-in sessions as necessary, depending on each individual child's needs. Children form strong relationships with staff and feel able to ask for help when needed. "

Special mention too for the nursery's 'lending sacks' with toys and books linked to children's individual interests which parents are given to extend the children's learning at home.

Sunflowers, which has been operating since 1997, has places for 45 children aged from birth to four years old. Back from a report in 2014 by Ofsted inspectors were impressed, describing children's behaviour then as 'exemplary'.
