Midsomer Norton's favourite weather man has given his forecast and that all important question, when will the rain stop ... and it's not good news.

Kilmersdon Weather has told Nub News that, sadly, we can expect even more rain.

The amateur but highly respected meterologist said: " Storm Jorge is the third in a repetitive run of very deep depressions spawning from an active and powerful jet stream which has dominated the Winter. This storm comes in two parts. Today and tonight sees the rain and the flooding consequences that will add too for other parts of the UK already affected. The second part of the storm comes tomorrow and early Sunday when the wind becomes strong again with gusts up to 60mph at times and accompanied by heavy squally showers of rain, hail and sleet.

I don't anticipate widespread disruption other than surface water issues today and tonight with tree branch debris on the roads too later tomorrow. Public travel disruption is more likely to be affected with ferry crossings and rail travel worst affected. "

The weather guru said that right now he is always being asked by his four thousand followers, when the sun might come out.

He said: "I am repeatedly asked when will this seemingly endless period of wind and rain end. The answer is that next week sees further wet weather to come with some hints of better conditions by mid March though that of course comes with a disclaimer that forecasts can change at this range out."
