Who would like to drive this beauty?

If you have ever wanted to be a train driver, then this is where you should be this coming weekend.

Fans will know this is a Class 03 diesel locomotive that the public can drive it by buying a 'driver for a tenner' ticket on the Friday of the gala.

There is also an offer to have a whole train compartment,

with, of course - that group of six - travelling together for only £40. These are limited to four compartments per day, so book now to avoid disappointment.

It is a complete train festival at the Autumn Mixed Traction Gala this weekend up at Midsomer Norton station, with visitors treated to the resident steam and diesel locomotives working on a varied timetable with both passenger and freight trains.

You can book a compartment in advance, or just turn up on the day.
