The Midsomer Norton Walking Football Team competed at a tournament in Clevedon, which was run by the Football Association.

Nine teams entered in total including some very experienced teams, some of whom featured ex professional players.

After a slow start and losing the first two games 1-0 each, Midsomer Norton got into their stride and played with much energy and conviction, resulting in improved performances and beating some teams for the first time.

At the end of the tournament Midsomer Norton had played eight games, winning five, drawing one and losing two, easily the best performance since being formed four years ago.

They look forward to the next tournament in April with confidence, and hope to make further improvement on their performance.

Should anyone wish to join in this very affable group of Walking Footballers, they play every Tuesday and Thursday at Midsomer Norton Sports Centre at 10am.

Feel free to turn up and give it a go,alternatively contact Angelo Ruiz on 07470 259513 or e-mail [email protected] for more information.
