Council Leader, Councillor Kevin Guy has personally thanked care workers for their commitment and hard work in looking after some of Bath and North East Somerset's most vulnerable residents during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Councillor Guy was joined by Councillor Alison Born, cabinet member for Adult Services, as he visited the council's Cleeve Court care home in Twerton to meet both staff and residents.

Organisations, groups and residents are being invited to attend a series of local meetings to find out how Bath and North East Somerset Council and its partners are planning for winter.

The five area forums within Bath and North East Somerset: Bath, Bathavon, Chew Valley, Keynsham, and Somer Valley, will be hosting the discussions in late November and December.

Children, staff and members of the wider community were excited to welcome Simon Probyn, sculptor, and Dawn Reader, painter, to Radstock's Trinity Church School for the official opening of their new sculpture.

The sculpture entitled 'Acceptance', was created by Simon Probyn, a sculptor from Herefordshire. It was created to represent Trinity, it's vision and values and all it stands for.

Local charity Julian House is hosting a series of festive themed virtual workshops to boost community spirits and bring the community together.

Back by popular demand, the Christmas workshops, will take place online from 9th December to 16th December and will see numerous local organisations donating their time and skills to host a workshop for everyone to enjoy. From a Christmas themed quiz hosted by comedian Dr Phil Hammond and a virtual wreath workshop from Copper Green Flowers to a virtual Neal's Yard pamper evening by Happy Hare, a festive yoga workshop from Bright Blue Yoga and a snowball shortbread workshop with Sugarcane Studio.
