An application to build a standby gas generator plant on land in Midsomer Enterprise Park has today, (April 14) been given the green light, by Bath planners.

The application caused controversy because the planned scheme, on land south of Unit 18 on the Enterprise Park, is only 220 metres from Welton Primary School.

Midsomer Norton's answer to Joe Wicks will be staging his first live PE lesson for children tomorrow (Wednesday ) morning.

But while The Body Coach focuses on fitness, Ian Groves' lesson is about learning new skills, with the emphasis on improving agility, balance and coordination.

Radstock & Westfield Big Local CIC is providing hot square meals - for free - to residents of Radstock and Westfield who may be isolated, struggling to cook, may have mental health issues, are shielded or housebound with limited access to resources.

In case you were not aware, Muffins Bakery on the High Street, closed its doors on March 30. They wish all their customers well and hope to return as soon as it is safe to do so.

A local care home has confirmed that it has cases of coronavirus - but as yet no deaths.

The large Bloomfield Care Centre, one of the largest care facilities run by Barchester, with a total of 102 beds, has offered up a statement in response to speculation on social media.

However one of the collectors did say: " But we are collecting so much more in the way of recycling, especially cardboard. It is like Christmas, but worse... it seems everyone went on a buying spree and so now we have all the cardboard boxes to collect."
