The award-winning and hugely popular Radstock Museum announced late last night (March 17) that it is closing with immediate effect and until further notice.
The Museum recently announced the opening of a sixth cafe for veterans, and is a key place to meet up in the town.

The local family-run estate agency business, Sam Chivers says the business is still very much open, with news that in the last few days they even sold three properties.
The director of the company, said: " Obviously these times ahead are very uncertain but as a company, we can only speak for ourselves and the contingencies that we are putting into place."

The respected and much valued local charity, SWALLOW which supports over one hundred vulnerable adults and young people with their cafe, is to close.
In a statement the charity said: " After much consideration and in line with the Governments latest announcement we have taken the decision to close SWALLOW Community Café.
The community energy group which came and talked to Radstock Town Council just as councillors declared a climate emergency is looking for new trustees for the charity it set up to distribute its surplus income to community groups.
Bath & West Community Energy Fund is looking for three new Trustees, including a Treasurer, to get involved in deciding which local environmental projects will benefit from funds generated by local solar power projects.
