News in Midsomer Norton and Radstock

Get fit in time for those summer holidays and help raise money for your local Community Trust at the same time. This is the aim of fitness instructor, Kay Alford, working with the Whisty Community Trust, Radstock, to raise money via her Fun Keep Fit classes.

Kay says, "In 2014 I took an Exercise to Music Instructor course as a personal challenge, qualifying the same year. I had the idea of offering to work in and donate proceeds to the local community."

New investment in key priority areas including tackling the climate emergency and delivering more affordable housing, will be considered by Bath & North East Somerset Council's cabinet as part of its budget-setting process.

The council's proposed spending plans and new Corporate Strategy will go before cabinet on Thursday 13 February. Once finalised by cabinet, they will be presented to full council on Tuesday 25 February.
