A new Somer Valley park and ride could solve commuters' traffic woes and help cut emissions, a councillor has claimed.

Shaun Hughes made the case for a new facility between Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Westfield after realising how inaccessible Bath is to many by public transport.

The Midsomer Norton Carnival route

Midsomer Norton Carnival – the Somer Valley's largest community event – takes place on Monday November 11 and it is all set to be a glittering spectacle.

The procession starts in Charlton Road at 7.30pm and proceeds down Silver Street and Midsomer Norton High Street, finishing at Midsomer Norton Enterprise Park on Radstock Road by 10pm.

The #RGWeek19 campaign is led by the Industry Group For Responsible Gambling (IGRG), in partnership with leading gambling charities, Gamcare and YGam, and the objective is to stimulate a national conversation about safer gambling, highlighting the tools, advice and help available to customers.
