On Monday, Her Majesty came to Parliament to deliver her Queen's Speech.
It outlined the Government's forthcoming business and laws that it wants Parliament to approve, forming part of the State Opening of Parliament ceremony and the official beginning of the Parliamentary year.

With all other matches falling foul of the weather it was left to the Midsomer Norton RFC 3rds to entertain the massed crowds at Norton Down on Saturday.
This they did as they put in a spirited performance to run out eventual winners 34-22 in a hard fought game against local rivals Keynsham.

Leader of the House of Commons and Midsomer Norton's MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg, recently visited a local college for a political discussion with students.
He detailed his role in Parliament and answered questions from students at Strode College in Street about a variety of topics.
Work to put up Midsomer Norton's Christmas lights gets underway this week.
Bath and North East Somerset Council's contractors will be installing the lights in Silver Street and Midsomer Norton High Street between Monday and Friday October 14 to 18.

The A37 is closed in Farrington Gurney after a crash between a car and a lorry.
The incident has happened on Rush Hill and the road is blocked. The crash is causing tailbacks along the A37 in both directions, to the junction with the A39 at the top of the hill in one direction, and to the junction with the A39 by the car wash in the other direction.
