Radstock & Midsomer Norton Lions are hosting a prostate screening clinic in Midsomer Norton on 10 September.

The event is partnered by the Somerset Prostate Support Association.

You WILL need to pre book with the clinic starting at 10am at the Methodist Hall in Midsomer Norton

It is recommended that all men aged 40 years and over have a regular PSA test carried out.

A simple blood test that may indicate whether or not they have a possible problem with their prostate and should take further action via their GP.

Many prostate cancers are life-threatening and the latest figures show that it kills close to 12,000 men in the UK every year. But equally there are some prostate cancers which have a very small chance of ever impacting your life.

Tea and coffee will be available, courtesy of the Methodist church ladies.
