Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire at the above location.
On arrival the incident commander confirmed one vehicle well alight. One crew member donned breathing apparatus and got to work with one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Location: Charlton Road, Holcombe, Somerset.
2 Fire engines from Shepton Mallet were sent to the above location to reports of an incident.
On arrival, crews confirmed a vehicle and a pallet of cardboard to be on fire within a commercial building.
Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 main jet, 1 hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The owners, who were already on scene attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, 1 male was conveyed to hospital suffering with smoke inhalation.
The vehicle was 100% destroyed by fire, the commercial unit sustained approx. 5% heat and smoke damage.
The cause was accidental.

Three of the four Bath and North East Somerset councillors selected for Midsomer Norton in the 2019 elections are Conservative with an Independent taking the remaining seat.
In Midsomer Norton North, Independent Shaun Hughes got the most number of votes with 436, ahead of Conservative Michael Evans, who was also elected to Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES) with 413 votes. Total number of votes was 2,301, out of an electorate of 4,280, with 13 rejected ballot papers.
