BBC broadcaster Clare Balding visited Timsbury early in the new year to record an episode of her Radio 4 Ramblings programme with villagers Peter Bradshaw, Larry Cunningham and Sue Fraser.

The programme will be broadcast this coming week on Thursday 16th February at 3:00 pm and will cover the route from Timsbury down to the Somerset Coal Canal and back. The conversations that they had were recorded and will form most of the programme. Then it will be transmitted again for early risers at 6:07 am on the following Saturday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001j493

Peter, Larry and Sue are co-authors of five books of local circular walks. The forthcoming release of a new edition of the Radstock book will bring the total up to 100 walks.

The five books are available from Health & More, The Hub and Canine Craze in Timsbury, Radstock Museum, Farmborough Community Shop and Oldfield Park Bookshop.
