All the B&NES opening times over the festive period, where to find help, when your rubbish will be collected and how to register a birth

B&NES has put out details of all the council opening hours for Christmas and New Year.

Opening times over Christmas and New Year, are as follows:

Close at 16:00 on December 23

Close at 16:00 on December 31

Bath Central Library, Keynsham Library and Information Centre and Midsomer Norton Library and Information Centre will be closed on Thursday 24 December to Tuesday 28 December and on Friday 1 January to Monday 4 January.

Council buildings, Council Connect and Switchboard will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The Guildhall will remain open for registrations of births, death and notices and for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies please follow this link the registrar site

Recycling and rubbish collection dates across Bath and North East Somerset will be revised over Christmas and New Year. There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.

Recycling Centres will be open as usual apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's day please. Check website for opening times the B&NES site

The Community Wellbeing Hub will be closed on the following dates over the Christmas period. Please note these closure dates are for weekends and public holidays only and the service will be open on normal working days.

25th December – public holiday

26th December – Saturday

27th December – Sunday

28th December – public holiday

1st January – public holiday

2nd January – Saturday

3rd January – Sunday
