A rare and stunning cloud display could be seen this morning above Midsomer Norton - if you were up early enough.
These are beautiful and very rare display of 'Noctilucent Clouds' - ice clouds - shooting across the skies before sunrise this morning.
These clouds are incredibly high- as much as 60-80 miles above the surface and given nearly all other clouds form in the bottom six miles of the atmosphere you can see why they are so rare.
Our local amazing weather man Kilmersdon Weather said: " Note the sun shining on them at 03:30 this morning giving us a very early dawn. These can only be seen around a few weeks either side of the longest day either after sunset or before sunrise and then only when the exact weather conditions allow."
