Would you like to help out? St. Nicholas' Church is hoping you will visit on Saturday to help tame the wilderness

By Susie Watkins 6th Jul 2020

The churchyard and graveyard at St Nicholas's Church in Radstock are now under the care of a new gardener.

However the the area became a wildlife reserve over the lockdown period.

So the church warden is hoping residents could offer some additional help this coming Saturday (July 11).

They told Nub News: " We now have a gardener, though the present wilderness is somewhat overwhelming for just one person.

"We'd like to tame our churchyard over the coming months. And so, we're holding the first of several short Gardening Parties - socially distanced - in our Churchyard this Saturday 11th July from 1030-1230."

Sally Camac Bailey, Church Warden said: " Fancy a little exercise and want to help beautify this community resource?

"Yes? Please come on down, with your own tools... We'll be delighted to see you and work alongside you. "
