If you know anything about comedy, you'll know that Mike Wozniak won the nation's hearts (if not Greg's golden head) in Taskmaster 2021 and has just been announced as the Taskmaster Assistant in Junior Taskmaster. You'll also know that he's a comedian not to be missed and he's coming to Bristol Old Vic on 7 September 2023.

Join in the laughter and grab the best seats for an evening of comedy gold before they sell out! All in aid of your air ambulance Charity. Yes, your laughs really can help save lives!

But first, what else can you expect from the return of this popular comedy night, aptly named Heli Laughs? Joining Mike is an equally impressive line-up:

  • Hosting the evening and keeping everyone laughing is Bristol's own Stuart Goldsmith; host of 'The Comedian's Comedian' podcast and fresh from his win of Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, Stuart will bring his witty charm and relatable stories to the stage and keep everything ticking along
  • Fresh from winning the nation's hearts on this year's Britain's Got Talent, Abi Carter-Simpson and her ukulele will be performing her funny and charming songs just for you
  • Welsh and Spanish comedian Ignacio Lopez will be joining the crew. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo and Celebrity Pointless, and will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. Known for taking the mickey out of Brits, we can't wait to see what he has in store for us!
  • Fabulous local comedic talent Dani Johns returns to share her quick-witted and brutally honest storytelling full of Bristolian charm
  • Fellow local, Julia Stenton, after finishing in the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards and Funny Woman Awards in 2022, is also coming to the stage
  • Last but not least, Steve Bugeja will keep you entertained. You'll recognise him from TV shows such as ITV's Buffering, Russell Howard's Stand Up Central, and Love Island: Aftersun. He is also a key member of the writing team for The Russell Howard Hour and Iain Stirling's CelebAbility, and has contributed to Mock the Week and 8 out of 10 Cats. Wow!
