Welton Rovers, the local Midsomer Norton football side, has announced another new partnership, this time with the famous Tuckers Grave Inn & Campsite over in Faulkland.

The team posted : " A big thank you to Jo and the team at Tuckers for sponsoring warm-up tees for our Western and County League sides. "

Welton Rovers is a five times Tool Station Western League winner and its longest serving club.

The so-called Green Army has announced the line up of matches with the first home again this coming Saturday 9July 29) against Barnstaple Town. The team has also announced that a dozen of last season's squad are being retained with three new to the team, players : Jordan Metters, Harry Houghton and Louie Gurner.

Harry is a Yeovil Town academy graduate, and previously played at Bristol Manor Farm and Mangotsfield Utd.

Jordan Metters has twice been a Western League Premier champion, and a captain in the Southern League. The club say Jordan is a midfield technician with the ability to put himself at the centre of any game.

Seventeen year old Louie, known as Gurns, is described as a lynchpin of last season's double winning Rovers Under 18s side, who also did the County League double with Chilcompton Sports.
