Coronavirus update for Radstock : as local bread and pastry shop Cottles prepares to open
Tomorrow (May 11) the pastry and bakery shop in Fortescue Road in Radstock, Cottles, is re-opening.
It joins several businesses along that street which have remained open during lock down.
Thomsons Hardware continues to open its doors. Designated as an essential business under the orginal lockdown rules it is open: 9am-6pm Monday- Friday, until 5 pm on a Saturday and from 10-4 pm on Sunday. The local McColls is open 6am-10.30 pm while Premier stores, also on Fortescue Road is open from 10am- 10pm. Both Radstock pharmacies have the same opening times: Westfield and Clements Pharmacy. Open from 9.30 am until 6 pm, but now closed from 1pm until 2pm. Radstock's butcher's Phil Day is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 7am until 1pm . The local football club Radstock FC finished up their season early, which has created a lot of financial hardship for The Miners. They are also trying to make sure that people keep of the re-seeded pitch, working on the basis that that they will be able to resume play and the grass needs to be in good enough condition to do so.
