Everyone upping their fitness: Radstock gym reports busy times

By Susie Watkins 31st Aug 2020

The team at Snap Fitness in Radstock caught our eye with their version of Eat Out to Help Out . Work Out to Help Out.

Their offer for August, get a workout in the gym for free for the month.

The strategy obviously did the job with the team saying that they have been as busy as they might expect in a typical January, when the over indulgences of Christmas and resolutions see gyms bursting with new customers.

Assistant Manager Aaron Vine from Snap Fitness told Nub News : " Business is really good. People have a lot of confidence in what we are doing and that has meant they have come back after we re-opened."

The gym in the centre of town has a rigorous cleaning regime . It closes for a whole hour between fitness sessions for a deep clean and sanitising.

Aaron explained that they had just opened up : " We have been cleaning now, then one group come in, when they finish, we clean and sanitise throughout before the next group come in. That goes on all day."

So how does he explain the popularity of the gym right now?

" I think people have had enough of doing nothing. A lot of members are coming back and they have a lot of questions, but when they see everything we are doing (they are reassured). Some froze their accounts initially and then they came and saw our precautions and they were happy to re-join."

The gym has been open since June 2018 and is welcoming to anyone who may just want to check out their offers and their safety precautions. But all visitors will need to hand over their contact details for test and trace.

Personal Trainer at the gym, Tom Hull added: " So come along. Follow us on Instagram!"
