Fosseway Golf Club, based out of The Centurion Hotel in Midsomer Norton is playing big time catch up with golf competitions every other day.

As they did after the first lock down, the hugely picturesque course is playing all all the competitions that were put on hold for two the two playing months of this year.

Doug Lane from the club told us: " We welcome everyone to come and play and right now we are really busy. Because of covid we couldn't play April and May - so all the competitions we had then we have to play catch up so there is one tomorrow and one the day after that.

" We did the same last year.. so it is a busy busy time."

Fosseway Golf course is attached to The Centurion hotel just off the Westfield Industrial estate and as well as being very welcoming of new members, it is offering some well-priced deals.

Even if you are a half-hearted golfer, what may drive you to try the course, could be your love of photography.

The course is described by the leading golf site English Golf Courses Co.UK as being a "marvellous course with fine views".

Further that :" The views to be had from most tees really are breath taking and you will find yourself wishing you had your camera rather than clubs in your hands now and then.

"Not that preoccupation with the picturesque sights is a good thing, however, as the course is a real challenge no matter how experienced a golfer you are with stunning tree-lined fairways and tricky approaches to greens that are well guarded by a clutch of hazardous bunkers."

Contact the club via The Centurion web site.
