There is a new head of Writhlington School in Radstock.

He is Keith Howard and was for five years the head of St Dunstan's School in Glastonbury which is already part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.

He told parents and pupils at St Dunstans: " I am very excited about this new challenge but also sorry to be leaving St Dunstan's after what has been an amazing journey. In the five years I have been here, the school has transformed and blossomed, with a secure future, a rising roll, high standards, excellent results and a calm, friendly ethos."

Nub News has approached the school for an interview.
