Full steam ahead for the Midsomer Norton heritage station Jubilee celebrations : PICTURES
It was another topping event at the Midsomer Norton heritage station with free rides on offer in the handsome, and royally appointed, steam locomotive Austin.
But even if you didn't want to ride the train (and Nub News understands there are a few people, very rare, who do not relish a railway journey) there was plenty to see and to do, with an invitation to all : Bring a picnic and enjoy these waiting times at this particular station.
Volunteers at @somersetanddorsetrailway pulled out all the stops with no end of bunting and lines of tables and benches outside the main station building thanks to Partybench.
There were plenty of local food stalls from Muffins Bakery to Cam Valley Foods who were on hand to offer up a hog roast and barbecue.
And for visitors getting a little warm in the much-appreciated sunshine, "The Queen's Head" pub in the sidings sold beer and cider from the aptly named Box Steam Brewery.
The Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust which runs and operates all the trains at the station and runs the popular shop and buffet car is always looking for volunteers. Find out more HERE
