How to get emergency food parcels : details from the Radstock Mayor

And so another week passes. Not much sign yet of any significant abatement of 'Rona,' and a good few weeks, seemingly until we can collectively come up for air. At least the shops and supermarkets seem to have organised themselves and we can generally purchase what we need.

Our thoughts turn in these troubled times to those who are finding it difficult to make ends meet; not that there is much to buy but we all need to eat. Soon details will be available on the Council website here: soon and right now B&NES is organising food parcels. You can find out more by telephoning Compassionate Communities Hub on 0300 247 0050. You can also sign up at the 3sg site

It was strangely touching to step outside my front door and hear the applause, car hooters and other assorted wind instruments being blown in honour of the NHS. Well done Radstock. Wonderful that the doctors, nurses and carers should be recognised and thanked in this way.

Gazing up into the starry sky on Palm Sunday evening reminded me that the gibbous moon portends a full moon shortly and being the first one after the spring equinox, the coming of Easter. In whatever way you are celebrating it, I wish you all the joys of the feast. Very apt, this year, with the theme of love conquering death.
