Micro grants to fantastic local charities and community groups as part of the Radstock Town Council scheme

Repairs to a village hall roof, help towards café furniture and providing food club fridges are among some of the items being funded by Radstock Town Council, which is handing out £10,000 to local groups and organisations as part of its grant scheme.
The following groups will be awarded money: SWAN Advice Network Help to provide journeys for elderly people, disabled and on low incomes (Funding for travel fuel costs for volunteers) Keynsham and District Mencap Society Provide qualified personnel in Radstock Youth and Children's Centre, to help build life skills for those living below the poverty line. Trinity Girls Brigade Youth leader training for girls aged 14 to 18. Uniform costs and sports equipment Radstock Wellbeing and Loving Life Employ an artist to deliver a years of art sessions. Evolve Music Funding to support a taster for their project "Sound Lab" at SEN schools. The full programme will be delivered at appropriate venues in Radstock. SWALLOW To provide new tables in the community café to utilise space and ability to host further activities.Creativity Works
Operation costs to further develop the Love Letters for Radstock project with Well Being walks around the trail.
Youth Connect South West To support a young women's project for 12 weeks in Radstock. After school club for women 13 to 19.Haydon Sports FC
To fund kit, a first aid course and DRB checks.
Small Stuff Baby Bank
To provide storage and benefits for a baby bank, volunteer expenses, operational costs insurance, publicity and a laminator. This new community group will be supporting Radstock and Westfield families, over the next three months with emergency items such as nappies. Organiser Rachel Steeper is already working hard on getting help where it is needed. Family Action – Radstock Food Club Capital set up costs of Food Club in Radstock serving up to 50 customers a week for 52 weeks of the year. Enabling them to buy two fridges. Writhlington Village Hall Capital repairs to the Village Hall roof.
