The terrific local charity SWALLOW has turned to takeaway to keep essential funds coming in.

The charity is now offering take away coffees, teas, and snacks from its menu - but be quick you need to phone before 10am.

Hot drinks are just £1.50 and pizzas are just £4.

They started the service on May 12 and really need it to be a success.

On Tuesdays to Fridays from 11am – 2pm a selection of food and hot drinks will be available. Customers can ring to book their meal on 07565 752350 and then will be able to pay with a contactless card, following social distancing guidelines.

One satisfied customer this week said "We had excellent sandwiches and also tried the pizzas...cook at home or can have them cooked at the cafe. Delicious!!!! "

SWALLOW Charity, the local charity supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities is working extremely hard to keep its members and staff safe and well during this difficult time. Although they have had to cancel some of their activities to minimise contamination risks, their support workers are continuing their vital work in the community.

They are hoping that this new take away service will help people who are struggling to find fresh local food and want a bit of a treat. For more details on the menu available, go to www.swallowcharity.org.

If you would like more information about SWALLOW, or how you could support the charity contact Nicky Tew on [email protected] or call 01761 414034.
