Looking for work? Bath College in Radstock is running bootcamps to get you started
As part of the Government's Skills for Life initiative, Bath College are running short bootcamps focused on skills that are seen to be instrumental in providing learners with new opportunities and roles, or upskilling as part of their current employment.
The bootcamps have no cost to the learners - who must be over the age of 19 - if they are not currently in work or self-employed and looking to use the skill developed within the bootcamp to improve their business's capabilities. If businesses want to upskill staff, there is a small contribution dependent on the size of the company.
Our Introduction to BIM & CAD runs on Mondays from the 26th of September over 12 weeks at our Somer Valley Campus, meaning that it can fit in around other responsibilities. We also provide each learner with employability support and the opportunity to interview with a company who have a live and relevant vacancy in which they can utilise the skills learned through the bootcamp.
What is BIM & CAD?
Building Information Modelling is a process for creating and managing information on a construction project across the project lifecycle. One of the key outputs of this process is the Building Information Model, the digital description of every aspect of the built asset.
All learners will receive a digital badge to signify their achievement as well as support into employment or further training. Potential routes into work include construction and architecture.
