The family of Midsomer Norton brave youngster Henry, who needs life changing spinal surgery and intensive therapy, are trying not only to keep him well and entertained as they self distance, but are now worrying how they can continue fundraising.

Several big fundraising events have had to be cancelled, and with Henry suffering from cerebral palsy spastic diplegia they don't know what comes next.

Henry needs a life altering operation and now two big events which his family were hoping would raise important funds, a firewalk and Kilmersdon Village day have been cancelled. The community has really come together to get the money needed, and the fund is over 60 per cent there, but his mum Lara said sadly: "fundraising has kinda come to a halt."

The youngster is happily playing at home with his brother at the moment, while continuing with his school work, but the family are in limbo.

Yesterday his mum reported : " Today he has done an hours physio, hour in gaiters, hour in stander as well as maths, spelling and handwriting."

As for the operation they have been told that a new date will be rearranged for the autumn, but no one is quite sure.

Lara said: " Currently we do not know if Henry`s operation will go ahead. Its a waiting game really but we are still working towards the summer to keep him as strong as possible what ever happens. I will keep everyone posted once things have been confirmed."

Meantime they would be thrilled if you can offer even a small donation to Henry's fund at:
