Open Gardens in Frome in aid of the National Garden Scheme
A warm welcome awaits you at this eclectic group of four gardens. Three new gardens join with 9 Catherston Close for a group garden opening on Sunday 19th June from 12 – 5pm. Teas will be on offer at 71 Lynfield Road. .
9 Catherston Close is a garden that over the years has grown from a small town garden to 1/3 acre and is a surprise in store.
61 Nunney Road's new owner has redesigned the garden with a terrace, lawn, shrubs, flowerbeds, old fruit trees, 2 small ponds, wild corner, veg patch and greenhouse. This garden is planted to attract wildlife.
71 Lynfield Road is where the front garden has 'hot' colour, lush planting including Chusan Palm. Their back garden is restful with seating areas, formal pond and patio. Colourful mixed borders, trees and wildflower area to attract birds and insects.
1 Tucker Close a small walled garden with wide beds, exuberant planting with wildlife in mind and small cauldron pond. Although only three yrs old, it looks mature and abundant with herbaceous borders, fruit trees, decking, pond and slate rather than grass.
Some of these gardens have gravel and slate paths as well as shallow steps but all are accessible. Plants for sale.
Please pay cash at the gate, no cards accepted, admission for entry into all four gardens is £7.50 for adults, there is no charge for those under 16.
