A new petition has been started to move the UK capital to Midsomer Norton.

Although as you can see the High Street did look very lovely yesterday (June 22) it doesn't seem a very popular idea.

As of today only three people had signed the organisers' petition.

The petitioners wrote that they believe: "Midsomer Norton is a place where British people, regardless of colour, creed or gender can assemble and be prosperous."

Many residents will remember the time that the town was re-branded as Centre of the Universe - by someone re-painting the sign as you enter Midsomer Norton from Radstock.

But this move from London, if the petition is to be believed, is perhaps an equally unlikely geographic possibility.
