Midsomer Norton High Street hairdressers turn to art to cheer up their empty salon

A local Midsomer Norton High Street hairdressers has an open offer to brighten up its shop window until it hears it can re-open.

The Lewis Thomas salon would normally be having one of its busiest times - with wedding up do's and summer cuts.

Forced to close under lockdown, the owners will be waiting to hear - possibly this coming week - if they can re-open.

Meantime they have turned the window into an art gallery and have invited all their clients and friends to contribute.

As Nub News spotted yesterday (June 21) some of the work is related to the work they normally do, along with paying tribute to NHS and key workers.

But as the owners say in their sign in the window, they are happy to accept any artwork from clients and friends - as long as it is cheerful.
