Radstock parents don't let your children say they are bored over half term. This coming week there is so much going on in Radstock.

On Monday it is the Town Council meeting, which might not sound much fun, but they want to hear from you, the people of Radstock about how you want to celebrate VE Day in May. There were some people who said they would like to see a street party with everyone involved. Do you have a better idea?

Radstock lost many fighting men in both wars. What is the best way to honour them?

The Town Council meets at 7pm in the Methodist Hall.

Then on Tuesday the first writing workshop is being held at the Radstock Community Hub and Library, Love Letter Writing with Ellie Shipman, from 11.30 – 15.30. No need to book - just turn up. Details on our What's On page.

Also on Tuesday, children's author Jasbinder Bilan won the Costa Children's Book Award in 2019 with her delightful book, Asha and the Spirit Bird. She will be at the library just ahead of the love letter writing, from 10am until 1130.

Then all week there are events and activities on at The Somerset Coalfield Museum, which is open for extra hours for the whole week. Everyday from 11am to 5pm there will be a special planet hunt with an astronaut leading the way for a trail around the museum to find the hidden planet. Prizes for the winners sponsored by Thatcher and Hallam.

Keeping the space theme going, lots of cosmic craft sessions but for a down to earth price, £3 per session.

More details on this and all their other events, under the Red button.

Happy half term Radstock.
