The Rotary Club of Midsomer Norton & Radstock is actively collecting this week for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at the Tesco in Paulton. A collection table is set up at the entrance and will be there through Saturday.

A wreath will be laid by Club President, Nick Candy, at the Midsomer Norton War Memorial during the Remembrance Day Service this Sunday, which commences at 10:40am with a parade from North Road/Radstock Road to the War Memorial, followed by a two minute silence at 11:00am.

The club has also sponsored two poppy sprays for the dressing of graves. The Royal British Legion allocated these to the following two graves in the Midsomer Norton Cemetery:

Cpl. C. F. Smith, Somerset Light Infantry and Gnr. R. A. Kingman, Royal Artillery.

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them." – Robert Laurence Binyon.
