AS more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Midsomer Norton each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

Here are our top events for the weekend ahead:

All of November - do you have a train fan in the family ? Then we know where you might want to head to to stock up with stocking fillers. The heritage railway at Midsomer Norton has a gift shop which will be open with all those railway gifts for friends and family. Their buffet carriage will also be open for a post present pause for a drink or snack.

On Saturday: A new band for Mardons on Saturday, 13th November, the brilliant Blaxar... Entry is FREE to all and everyone is welcome, music kicks off at 9pm. Details HERE: you might recognise some of the faces in the band.

And on Sunday: Eyes down everyone with a charity bingo night over in Chilcompton HERE are the details

this evening is in aid of mental health and suicide awareness

Don't forget too that on Sunday Remembrance services in Midsomer Norton – 10.40am: Parade from North Road/Radstock Road to War Memorial. 11.00am: Silence followed by wreath-laying and then parade to St John's Church for service before returning to memorial.

And looking a little ahead - next weekend there is an open morning at the Fire Station in Westfield on Saturday 20th November. It will include a car crash demonstration in the drill yard.
