Somerset Farmers' Market is open today (July 4) at The Hollies with safety measures in place to protect shoppers.

Louise Hall from the markets told Nub News: " Its hugely important to be back.

" The three months it hasn't been on it has been really difficult, for all of the farmers and traders. It has also been really difficult for people not having that social contact. So this although it is socially distant, this is a more sociable shopping experience than just queuing up at the supermarket."

" The traders are coming back in a staggered way because everyone has different personal circumstances. We have got about two thirds today. two or three by next month and then by September we should be back up to about twenty."
