Scorching past the records : Midsomer Norton temperatures break seven year highs

In case you had any doubt today (August 11), the weather in Midsomer Norton has officially been very hot.
As our favourite weatherman Kilmersdon weather - aka Martin Gibbs has just reported - the records for high temperatures in the Somer Valley are falling faster than ice off a lolly.
He told Nub News : " The previous record to today was set just three days ago at 30.9C on the 8th. That record didn't last long. Today's temperature high so far is 32.4C which is just over 90F."
But it is not just daily records that are tumbling, this is the hottest August spell for seven years.
Martin told us : " Before this current intensely humid and hot spell the highest August temperature was on the 1st August 2013 when the temperature reached 29.6C. I think it inevitable that the intense heat and humidity will give rise to some lively thunderstorms at some point in the coming days."
