There is a bit of a mini boom in food offerings in Midsomer Norton - soon to be joined by food from Korea.

That's the promise of a new sewing and craft shop which is taking over the former Hound Lounge at the top of the town.

The Sewing Sanctuary says it will be opening soon and has already posted that it will be offering sewing courses from next week. It says it will be specialising in self-designed fabric and eco-laminated fabric. Intriguing.

But in a sign in the window of the Midsomer Norton venue, which was previously The Greyhound pub, the owners say that they will be offering Korean specials in the adjoining cafe.

It is the third new venue in Midsomer, joining Greek cafe and restaurant Nisi and a new shake place, both opposite the Town Hall.

The food scene in Midsomer Norton is certainly getting a shake up.

The Lounge was a popular coffee spot in Midsomer Norton but the owners had to close up in August 2021 the same month as the key and repair shop in Midsomer closed after 17 years in business.
