A fifteen year old local netball star is doing what she loves - and playing super fair - to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Incredibly she is also undertaking the challenge just weeks after breaking her thumb.
Madison Lewis is in the Somerset County netball squad, and according to her Dad: " lives and breathes netball."
Previously at Oakhill Junior School, she is now at Wells Cathedral where she is a specialist mathematics pupil. Her aim is to shoot thousands of netball goals to raise money for the charity, which has seen funding slump during coronavirus. And true to her sense of fair play, she is only counting the shots that actually go in. So as of today (May 1) she is up to a thousand. Madison has set a target of completing 2,600 shots for the 2.6 Challenge. She is managing to complete up to a hundred and fifty in quick succession in spite of her injury.
