Bath & North East Somerset Council is working on 1,600 applications from businesses needing urgent Government grants due to coronavarius, and is reassuring companies that payments are on their way.

The council's Invest in Bath business support team launched an online form last week to speed up the process for businesses to access financial support from the Government.

Bath & North East Somerset Council is closing Haycombe Crematorium to visitors, except close family attending funerals, from today (April 7) as required by law to help prevent the spread of coronavirus .

Haycombe will now only be accessible to those attending a funeral up to a maximum of 10 people, or by appointment for those needing to meet with office staff. The site is otherwise closed to visitors.
