Friends of St Chad's and Chilcompton Surgeries - Volunteers wanted

Friends of St Chad's and Chilcompton Surgeries - Volunteers wanted!
The Friends of St Chad's and Chilcompton Surgeries charity has been running for over 20 years.
In recent years the charity has raised over £40,000 for equipment to benefit the patients of both practices – items that the NHS does not normally supply. Funds are raised through a Christmas Raffle and a monthly 100 Club Draw, as well as through donations and stalls at fairs etc. The Friends also arrange Health Talks from time to time when Covid19 allows. This is all run by a small committee of volunteers. Two of those volunteers are stepping down after over 10 years' dedicated service.
The Friends are now seeking two new committee members from St Chad's or Chilcompton patients. They would like their committee to be representative of all age groups, so whether you are 18 and just starting out in life, thinking of retiring, or somewhere in the middle and are interested, they would like to hear from you.
The friends usually meet five or six times a year in Midsomer Norton. If you are unsure and would like to attend a meeting to initially observe what goes on, you will be very welcome.
They told Nub News : " These last few months have shown us all just how critical our medical services are to our lives. If you are one of the people that stood outside and clapped our key workers, you obviously care. This could be an opportunity for you to make your own contribution to support our local medical facilities. "
