IN what the Town Council is calling a 'unique leadership' opportunity an advert is up again looking for a full time town clerk.

The current town clerk has been on an interim basis, and that tenure officially ends in June. They first advertised the post in January

They post they are looking for someone who is a strong leader, can think strategically and someone who is prepared to make difficult decisions. Salary is up to forty nine and half thousand pounds with the deadline to apply Monday July 17.

The issue of staffing at Midsomer Norton Town Hall, or rather the lack of staff, has led to this year's town awards being postponed. Both the previous clerk and her deputy resigned, while Nub News understands the former main clerk now works for a bigger council in Somerset.

Midsomer Norton will hold a council meeting on Monday (June 7) from 6pm and open to the public at the council rooms at The Hollies, with the public welcome to attend.
