Electrical Maintenance Engineer Midsomer Norton, Radstock, near Bath Full time, Permanent

Salary Range is dependent on skills and experience, 35,000 to 42,000 per annum. Overtime is additional and is paid at time and a half. Overtime can regularly be offered and is expected as often machines can only be released for repair in non-core hours.

Working 37.5-hour per week, Monday to Friday, on a Double-Day rotational Shift Pattern ( Must be able to rotate weekly). EARLY FINISHES ON FRIDAYS!

  • Mornings: Mon to Wed 6am-2pm, Thurs 6am-1pm & Fri 6am to 12.30pm.
  • Afternoons: Mon to Wed 2pm-10pm, Thurs 1pm-8pm & Friday 12.30pm-7pm.

Holidays are 34 days including Bank Holidays and there is Xmas shutdown.

My client based in in Midsomer Norton near Radstock, Bath is currently looking to recruit an Onsite Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

The successful Engineer will enjoy being hands on and will want to work for a large, established manufacturing company that has a low staff turnover with a very friendly and family orientated environment.

The role will involve working as part of a team of 5 engineers working on a number of old and new engineering manufacturing machines. You will be mainly covering breakdowns, machine modifications and project work which can include, install, move, build, and manufacture. The engineering department has excellent onsite facilities dedicated to supporting the factory production.

Role Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering, installation works, single and three phase systems, different types of motors, controllers, and programmable logic controllers.
  • The ability to work from circuit diagram and fault find to printed circuit board level.
  • Although primarily an electrical role, knowledge or experience of Pneumatics, bearings, belts, etc. would be advantageous.
  • Working to timescales with quality & safety awareness being paramount
  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer Skills Required
