Reed Scientific is working with an innovative and ambitious manufacturing company, based in a beautiful rural town located in Somerset, formulating and supplying agrochemical and biostimulant related products used in several industries globally. Our client is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join their team.

This role is crucial for ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, supporting the goals and objectives of our rapidly growing business.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Monitor and interpret worldwide regulations pertaining to the fertiliser manufacturing industry.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to laws and achievement of standards.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage environmental and health & safety programs in conjunction with factory management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Organise compliance training programs and raise awareness of compliance requirements within the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of UK and/or EU regulations relating to fertiliser manufacturing is desirable.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A record of implementing and conducting project working groups.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK (eg. Settled Status, ILR or Citizenship)
